Laura Martin

Laura’s yoga journey began in 2002 when she decided to take her first class at a local gym while in college. After a couple of weeks she noticed the benefits the practice had on her mental and physical well being and was hooked. During that time yoga taught her the healing benefits of stillness, a concept she found to be foreign, a concept which she now has a profound appreciation for.

As an instructor she emphasizes correct alignment principles to maintain safe learning and offers modifications so that every pose is accessible to your body. She encourages you to allow the breath to guide you through challenging moments on your mat as a way of cultivating self-acceptance and calm in your daily life.

Laura is a 200 hour yoga certified instructor with certifications in Yin and CPR. She holds a B.F.A. in dance education, has a background in kinesiology and has toured internationally as a performer. Her love of the ocean and being on the water led her to become SUP yoga certified in 2018 and she now enjoys teaching SUP yoga classes on the bay in Brigantine, New Jersey.

I had classes with Laura for over 18 months. She is detail oriented and cares deeply for her clients. She makes you feel comfortable and was especially helpful with modifying poses if needed. I felt energized after leaving class and you will too! I highly recommend Laura!

Talented, smart, encouraging, and patient. Laura is the best. I did a year of one on one yoga sessions with her and she made what I found very difficult at the start very enjoyable. There is no doubt the benefits came quickly and made a huge difference in my general well being. 5 out of 5 stars!
